Witcher Trio

“Because I know that in order to unite two people, destiny is insufficient. Something more is necessary than destiny.”

― Andrzej Sapkowski, Sword of Destiny

Since I found time to complete all three, I thought it would be fun to put them all together. What do you think? They were a great little challenge for me and I enjoyed trying out a few new things with them.

Yennefer of Vengerberg

Geralt of Rivia

Ciri, Lion Cub of Cintra

  1. Incredible Janice, excellent balance of colour.
Their posture and expressions capture the essential nature I think.

I would like to know your thoughts on the composition.
Is there subconscious reference to the colour of Ciri’s magic and how it washes over Geralt. Does she take after Geralt because he is her guardian?

Does the Phoenix represent Yennefer’s transformation and rebirth?

    • Thank you, Stephen.

Both Ciri and Yenn’s magic wash over Geralt, but Ciri more so. So that was a deliberate choice in the composition. Ciri certainly takes after Geralt, she looks up to him.

Yes, the phoenix seemed the perfect creature for Yenn, due to her transformation and rebirth. Also, her connection to fire, having become able to wield it masterfully through achieving supremely powerful balance and control of her chaos.
