Some old sketches, now work in progress for an illustration.
I originally inked these up digitally from some doodles I drew on Skye. On a cold, wet morning, out at Waternish, I’d been walking and watching for this particular bird and found a hare corpse that was quite freshly stripped, so I knew one might be nearby. A little while later I was rewarded with some really up close and personal views of a white tailed eagle hunting along the cliffs and then out over the sea. What made being out in the wet and cold that morning particularly worthwhile was that, after I’d thought I’d lost my white tail, he came back –chased by a peregrine falcon. Happy day!
Fantastic! One of my favourite birds. 🙂
Gorgeous, aren’t they? Keep an eye out for tomorrow’s post. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the finished piece ☺️
