Divers are gorgeous birds I got to know very well during my time living on the north coast of Scotland. One of my favourite bird watching memories is the first time I was out in a quiet vast expanse of peatland one chilly morning and heard a black throated diver calling in the distance. Sent a shiver of joy right through me.
